David Hill, Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture in the Collage of Architecture, Design and Construction, was chosen as one of the three faculty winners in the Transatlantic Climate Bridge competition sponsored by the Auburn University Office of International Education and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany. Hill was chosen for his work in leading a graduate landscape design studio affectionately called The “PROJECTS” Project. The students within this studio collaborated with the Auburn Housing Authority to investigate the regenerative and productive potential for the landscape surrounding low-income housing blocks. Hill will receive a travel grant from the Office of International Education to travel to Germany to meet with energy and sustainability leaders in government and academia.
