Program Description ...

Admission to the Program is administered by the Auburn University Graduate School as well as the School of Architecture & The McWhorter School of Building Science. Interested students should first review the requirements for all who plan to undertake graduate studies at Auburn University. Further, there are additional submission and evaluation requirements specifically for the Design-Build Program. ALL application items should be received no later than March 1st for consideration of admission for the following Fall semester.

  1. Applicants for EITHER track should send the following directly to the Graduate School at Auburn University:
    • A completed application, available through Auburn’s GWAAP
    • Official GRE scores, taken within the past 3 years, sent directly from GRE
    • Official TOEFL scores, if English is not the first language
    • Official Transcripts from all higher education institutions attended
    • Application fee as required by the Graduate School
  2. Applicants should also send the following information directly to the Master of Design-Build Program:
    • A Statement of Purpose indicating which track for which the applicant is to be considered
    • Current email, phone and postal address information
    • 3 Letters of Recommendation
    • A current Resumé
    • A description of computer skills
    • For applicants to the Design track only: a representative portfolio of academic and/or professional design work
