Spring 2009
Wallace Williams, INDD ’79, Vice President and Regional Director of Interior Design at Albert Kahn (architecture, engineering, planning, design and management) was the 2009 Lifetime achievement award winner from the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Alabama Chapter.
Fall 2008
INDD Alumnus Tom Dempsey has developed and is marketing, under the name Sylvansport “GO”, a light weight, recreational, convertible, camper. This new product won a 2008 IDSA IDEA Gold Award and was featured in a New York Times (8/15/08) article on product innovation in an energy conserving marketplace.

Frank Lin, INDD ’94, completed his PhD dissertation and oral exam at National Chung King University, Taiwan, fall ’07.
Brad Copeland, GDES ’75, of Iconologic, Atlanta, GA, was recognized as a Fellow in the American Institute of Graphic Designers at the Southern Excellence in Design Awards program.
Auburn University Graphic Design graduates Shelby Spears and Jordon Craddock were recognized by CMYK Magazine as two of “The nation’s top emerging talent.”
