Speaking of Faith: An Architecture of Decency

“An Architecture of Decency” by Krista Tippett will air on public radio stations nationwide from Thursday, November 15 through Wednesday, November 21, and it will be featured online at www.speakingoffaith.org during the same time.

In this program, Speaking of Faith explores sustainability, both
material and spiritual, driven by the architectural vision of the Rural
Studio. Speaking of Faith producers visited the Rural Studio and
interviewed its students, clients, and community partners. Through
their voices, alongside Krista Tippett’s conversation with director
Andrew Freear, the program explores architecture as a social art, and as
a force for repairing the fabric of human community as well as the
natural world.

“An Architecture of Deceny” is part of “Consumed” - a series on
sustainability from Speaking of Faith and other American Public Media
programs (http://sustainability.org/consumed/). Though not broadcast in
Alabama, you can download, podcast, or stream the program from the
website, and explore images, audio, and video from Speaking of Faith’s
trip to the Rural Studio. You can also learn more about the show by
visiting Rural Studio Roadtrip, where Speaking of Faith’s senior producer
Mitch Hanley and online editor Trent Gilliss document their week-long
journey through Alabama to visit the Rural Studio.
