Professor Charlene LeBleu Appointed to CELA

School of Architecture professor Charlene LeBleu has been appointed to the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture (CELA) National Research Committee. Professor LeBleu, who was recently named as the program chair for Landscape Architecture at Auburn will work with the committee to support cross-over and collaborative research in design, science, and other disciplines. The Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture is composed of virtually all of the programs of landscape architecture in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture can trace its beginnings to 1920, and for more than 70 years has been concerned with the content and quality of professional education in landscape architecture.


SESAH 2006 Annual Meeting

The twenty-fourth annual meeting of the Southeast Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians (SESAH) will take place in Auburn, Alabama from September 27-30, 2006. The meeting will include over 55 paper presentations, architectural tours of the Auburn area, a keynote address by UVA Professor Dell Upton, and optional daylong tours of Montgomery and of the Rural Studio Community Projects and the verncular architecture of western Alabama.
