Digital Resources
One of the significant costs of education today is the ownership of a personal computer. Academic life at Auburn University is increasingly dependent upon personal computers for communications, scheduling, research and coursework. All First Year Master of Landscape Architecture Students and Second Year Architecture Students are required to own a personal laptop computer prior to beginning studio. Students should consult the School of Architecture Laptop Specifications page for recommended specifications.
The University provides several software packages, such as for virus protection, for free. The University also makes educationally priced software and hardware available to students. Additional resources including computer labs, imaging, scanning, printing, fabrication and rapid prototyping facilities are available to all students enrolled in The School of Architecture. These facilities are important supplements to personally owned laptops.
