Taking a nod from thesis, the AiAS is encouraging all year-levels to increase their volunteerism.

As such, the AiAS will have a volunteer group for Auburn SGA’s BIG EVENT Saturday. We need more volunteers, so email me at bassesg@auburn.edu or call 205.401.2270.The BIG EVENT is an opportunity for Auburn University students and faculty to express their appreciation to the Auburn-Opelika community through construction, cleaning, painting and a variety of other tasks. We will be helping individuals, families, non-profit organizations, and local businesses through this event. AiAS will be helping with Alabama Rural Ministries (www.arm-al.org) doing light construction.

Sorry, we cannot guarantee that there will be any jack-hammering…

When?
Saturday Feb 18 8:30am until the job is done (earliest 12pm, 2pm at the latest).

Where?
The day will begin with a kick-off breakfast provided by Panera Bread at 8:30 a.m. in the Foy Ballroom. After the kick-off, each team will disperse to the project sites. Afterwards, we will be having a free come-and-go lunch in the Foy Ballroom from 12-2 p.m. provided by McAlister’s, Guthrie’s, Jimmy John’s, Cici’s Pizza, Mellow Mushroom, and many others.
