Auburn University Professor D.K. Ruth has been awarded the 2006 Distinguished Design-Build Leadership Award in the faculty category from the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). Professor Ruth, who is head of the Auburn University Design-Build Graduate Program, receives this award for demonstrated leadership in the advancement of best design-build practices and of design-build as the project delivery method of choice. Faculty nominees are judged by the overall impact of their research and teaching careers. Co-Founder of the widely acclaimed Rural Studio, Professor Ruth has also served as head of the School of Architecture and interim dean of the College of Architecture Design and Construction.
