Curriculum
The Interior Architecture studio curriculum addresses either Model 1 or 2 of practice, while also meeting NAAB requirements for the appropriate year level Architecture design studio.

3rd year ARIA studio semester, ARIA/ARCH 3010 or 4020 - The first 8 weeks involves site analysis, and schematic design of the architectural project (with consideration of interior issues). The second 8 weeks involves intense development of the interior and exterior including materiality, furniture design and placement, experiential spatial qualities, and design of detail utilizing detail drawings, full scale mock-ups, digital walk-throughs, and prototype full scale built objects.

4th year ARIA studio semester, ARIA/ARCH 4010 or 4020- The first 8 weeks of this urban scale project involves urban analysis and mapping, location and analysis of existing architectural building enclosure, structural analysis, programming in relation to urban issues, and schematic design. During the second 8 weeks extensive concentration is placed on fully developing the interior space or the room in relation to the city. This project development is inclusive of the advanced study of light, materials, spatial sequence and relationships, volumetric manipulation, and the experiential dimension of design.

Thesis summer studio, ARIA 4030 - The ARIA thesis semester focuses on Model 1 or Model 2, dependant on the individual student's thesis proposal. The ARIA thesis also deals with Interior Architecture issues in relation to a social and international dimension.
