By observing the success of the Boys and Girls Club, there was a desire in the community to address the needs of the elderly. A double-fronted 3,500 sq ft. country store was chosen to house this facility just off the railroad.

Not only does the building provide a place for senior citizens of the community to eat a hot, nutritious meal, socialize and interact with others, but also provide a place for them to participate in recreational activities and programs geared toward the special needs of senior citizens.

The second half of the space is a community center for the town. Here, an aircraft hanger door cranks open and spills the activity out onto the street.
