This house, for the Green family, the third family in Mason's Bend, is made of blocks mixed of newspaper and Hale County red dirt. The wall is an experiment and consequently they are protected by a 'big overhanging roof' and do not bare any load.

The other extraordinary feature of the house is the Tower. An idea of African origin, it acts as a chimney, perched over the kitchen it provides natural convection and air breezes through the house because of the pressure it creates.

The house, extraordinary in design, is also significant simply as a physical accomplishment: it was built in just over two years by just two very extraordinary students.
