Procedures
When we recieved this project, we outlined everything that would need to be done to accomplish the task of moving the church. We decided that catologing the pieces in the church and documenting the church as accurately and as possible were two things that required our immediate attention. We developed a catologing system to categorize each piece of the church. We decided to use tags on each piece of the church, and the tags would have various codes on them to reveal certain pieces of imformation. The following image describes the various letters, colors, and numbers used in the code.

For the documentation of the church we will take detailed pictures of each board, connection, corner, and essentially every inch of the Church. We are also in the process of making CAD drawings that depict the imperfections of the wood (including craks and rotting). Our hope is that we can be so accurate that the next group will have no trouble following our work. Below is an image of a piece of a CAD drawing of the bricks of the current foundation to illustrate the accuracy with which we draw the church.
We are planning to dissassemble the church while we document and catolog but the dissaembly has not yet begun, however we have begun the documentation and drawings. We will continue to keep everyone updated in the blogspace of our progress.
