Today we meet with the Cahawba committee. The Cahawba committee had Linda, Larry, May, Caesar, and Bob to represent them. Rural Studio was represented by Jason Coomes, Van White, Golpar Garmestani, Christine Dingivan, Nick Bishop, and Nick Wickersham. The main reason for this meeting was to discuss the floor joists. We agreed on a partial original and partial modern floor joist system. We spoke about the needs for arch repair. The next topic was the schedule for the remaining semester. We agreed that with remaining time we will prepare all members for storage. We also agreed to prepare documents for the next semester, so they can begin construction immediately. After the meeting we relayed all of the information to the rest of the second year students. We all divided into groups to accomplish the remaining work. We might not reconstruct the church this semester, but we will be designing how it is done.
